Fellow volunteer Mrs. Hardy has been nominated for a prestigious Laurel Award. Her involvement with Girlguiding began at the age of seven when she joined as a Brownie.
Currently, she serves as president of Girlguiding Jersey and is also a regional vice president for the South West.
Reflecting on her journey, Mrs. Hardy said, "Girlguiding has been a significant part of my life: as a girl, a leader, and as a mother of three daughters, all of whom have been members." She also mentioned that her granddaughter is now a Rainbow, with two other granddaughters having been Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides.
Mrs. Barette, a Rainbow leader and the island commissioner for Jersey, was nominated for her role in organizing a Peter Pan stage show on the island.
She shared, "Girlguiding is a huge part of my life. Whether at the unit, island, or region level, the more I contribute to Guiding, the more opportunities, experiences, and friendships I gain. I know there are many more adventures ahead."
