Guernsey has chosen Brittany Ferries to operate its essential sea links for the next 15 years, citing stability for island residents and businesses.
The Committee for Economic Development (CED) selected Brittany Ferries to provide both freight and passenger services, using its resources along with Condor’s fleet. The CED expressed a preference for a shared service with Jersey, though Jersey's government has not yet made its decision, with further discussions planned over the next 24 hours.
Brittany Ferries, which also holds a majority stake in Condor Ferries, stated it is "thrilled" by the contract and eager to optimize services for both islands. Guernsey officials called the tender process thorough, ensuring the “best possible deal” for the community.
